With reasonable effort, it is possible to convert and upgrade a particular model, so old favorites can be enjoyed and flown again, even on the very latest version of X-Plane. This not only benefits the X-Plane enthusiast, but also the X-Plane developer who created the original aircraft. Creating an aircraft, even a simple one, takes a great deal of time and effort, and as such, it would be a crime if all this work was wasted because of a compatibility issue.
Those of you who know me, know that I am quite a peculiar X-Plane addict, and one of the few users who are still enjoying X-Plane 7 as their main sim. This is due to certain reasons which I won't mention here.
